Our layout has gotten a little bit of attention on YouTube in the years we've been around. There are several videos that can be found of trains "in action" on our layout at different show. Some have been taken by members of the public, and others are videos taken by SWSC members at the various shows we've attended. Thanks the courtesy of those who took the videos, I've collected some of them below.
2012 Mad City Model Railroad Show and Sale in Madison, WI
The SWSC layout was well covered by videographers at the 2012 Mad City Model Railroad Show and Sale on February 19 and 20, 2012. Below are a few examples of the videos taken by members on our layout. Of note are the first two videos, which were taken during our hour long experiment at running 12 trains on the layout at once, plus one N scale train on a separate line for a total of 13 moving trains!
12 trains pass the camera as the videographer shoots from under a coal loadout located at a mine on the layout.

2011 Depot Days in Brooklyn, WI
On April 30 & May 1, 2011 the SWSC once again exhibited at Depot Days in Brooklyn, WI. One of our members has a lot Austrailian railroad equipment, and the video primarily shows some of this equipment, along with a few other trains. While it may seem slightly out of place running on a U.S. layout, it still look pretty cool!
Thanks goes to SWSC member Pete Schierloh for the video.

They feature a variety of trains (from a variety of countries), and give a good sampling of the sort of trains that typically run on the Sandhouse Crew layout on a show weekend.
Thanks goes to SWSC member Matt Welke for the video.

The Layout From Above
On September 25 & 26, 2010 the Sandhouse Crew participated in the Green County Model Railroad Show and Sale in Monroe, WI. Out set up at this show was one of the more unique formations we've had thus far, in that it included both an "L" on one end and what we like to call an "apostrophe," or slight bump out, on the other end. This video shows a number of trains traversing the layout, as seen from above.
Thanks goes to SWSC member Dave Adams for the video.

Weaving Through the Yard
The yard is where we stage most of the trains that run on the layout, but two main lines also weave through the middle. Here a trio of frieghts negotiate the yard on their way around the layout. Video taken at the 2010 Monroe, Wisconsin Model Railroad Show and Sale.

SWSC Layout at Mazomanie Gandy Dancer Festival
In July of 2008 the Sandhouse Crew made an appearence at the Gandy Dancer Festival in Mazomanie, WI. The festival was in part a fundraiser for Mid-Continent Railway Museum. For one day the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad gave free train rides to the general public from Mazomanie, and a number of Bluegrass Music Performers provided entertainment. Along with all that, the Sandhouse Crew exhibited a layout in a nearby community center down the street. In June Mid-Continent had experienced major flooding that stopped operations, and so the event became a fundraiser for the museum. We did our part as a club to help out, occasionally running a special train that can been seen at the beginning of the video for donations, and showing a slide show of the flood damage to help encourage people to donate.
Thanks goes to Andre Wehrle for taking and editing the video.
