Every year the National Model Railroad Association holds an annual convention in some location around the country. The convention is a chance for modelers from all over the country to gather and see area layouts, see clinics, and go on prototype tours. In conjunction with the convention there is always a National Train show held the last three days of the convention (Friday through Sunday). In 2010, for the 75th anniversary of the NMRA, the convention returned to where it all began in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Since this is the closest the convention will probably get to us for some time, the SWSC decided to try and display our layout at the show. We were accepted and set up a decent sized layout. Over the course of the three day show the layout ran about the best it ever has for us, and the members who attended really enjoyed the experience. The photos in this album are just a few of the scenes from the weekend. Click on any photo below to begin viewing the album.
