On July 20, 2008 the Mid-Continent Railway Museum in conjunction with the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad (WSOR) held a Gandy Dancer Festival in Mazomanie, Wisconsin. The days events included free train rides provided by the WSOR and a bluegrass music festival in Mazomanie. The Sandhouse Crew brought a layout to the show and set it up in a community center about a block from the depot area as another attraction for visitors to see.
